Description
This piece is a depiction of the images that fill my mind in that time between sleep and wakefulness. As I head towards sleep I generally see all sorts of figures in my mind, and wish I could slow down the flow of images and focus on them. This painting began as a canvas on which I was painting a background. As I did so, I began to see hints of various figures, and began to bring them into the foreground. Thus this painting was born.
